Gigi Romain takes production stills on the set of Thomas Allen Harris' "Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People" as DP Martina Radwan preps for the next shot.

Thomas Allen Harris will be featured during the Brooklyn Photo Salon on Sunday, February 20th, 5pm-9pm. Harris is one of four Photographers and Artists to share their work as part of the special “Black History Month” edition of the popular Brooklyn Photo Salon.

The Salon is located at LaunchPad – 721 Franklin Avenue Brooklyn, (between Park & Sterling) New York 11238 (Google map.)

Brooklyn Photo Salon Director Regine “Gigi” Romain proclaims, “We are excited to present our next Quarterly Salon and we hope you will be able to join us.” In recognition of the brilliant work of Carter G. Woodson, founder of Negro History Week in 1926, which evolved into Black History Month in 1976 – the Brooklyn Photo Salon invites you to put your walking shoes on and travel through black history through the visual works of our featured award winning presenters.

Sneak Preview of Thomas Allen Harris‘ “Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People” and “Digital Diaspora Family Reunion (DDFR)“

For those of you who haven’t been, the Brooklyn Photo Salon showcases the work of emerging and established photographers through regular community gatherings, Quarterly Salons. The salons promote inter-generational dialogue, build community, advance the craft and inspire all who attend. Our salons pay homage to those held during the Harlem Renaissance, while actively participating and shaping the contemporary Brooklyn renaissance. Please keep in mind that space is limited so we encourage you to arrive on time to guarantee your space.

Contributions of food and beverages are appreciated, so please bring a dish, a snack, or a drink to share.
