“Taliaferro’s new exhibit, a collection of black and white portraits of black women, is now on display in the North Terminal of Miami International Airport (MIA). Titled ‘Women of a New Tribe,’ each photograph highlights the beauty of black women, inside and out.”
“This is not the first time ‘Women of a New Tribe’ has been on display. The exhibit premiered 10 years ago in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has since traveled twice to Europe.”
“Taliaferro hopes his exhibit will make people appreciate women beyond their physical appearance.”
“’It could be the way she walks, the way she talks, the way she gestures,’ said Taliaferro. ‘Things that sort of make a woman beautiful.'”
“’Women of a New Tribe’ will be on display until January 2013. Visit blackartphotoart.com to learn more about Taliaferro’s exhibit.”
