DDFR Roadshow Goes to Hollywood

Hollywood

The Digital Diaspora Family Reunion (DDFR) roadshow will be hosted by the Academy, in partnership with the International Documentary Association for this year’s Getting Real Conference in Los Angeles. We will get to re-imagine the digital “Family Album”.

DDFR is a transmedia project developed by Documentary Branch member and filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris. Deeply rooted in the quest for cross-generational and multicultural understanding, the project creates a sense of empathy among people of different backgrounds.

Created as a town hall event, DDFR uses the images that people create every day to celebrate the connections and common experiences that unite us all. Hollywood

This will bring people together to share their family photos with a live audience in a public setting and raise awareness on the power of images to illuminate the human condition, family and spirituality.
