Objectives
Students will learn:
- To seek their family's personal connection to historical events by looking at family photographs, interviewing family members about the photos and documenting the process.
- To share family stories that students will develop through these activities with their peers to create an historical timeline as seen through the collected stories of the student group.
- To expand their visual and media literacy by critically examining the contents of photographs and other visual representations and "reading" images to understand the intentions behind the making of an image.
